Co-Managing Director – Jonathan Moffat
Jonathan Moffat is one of the two co-founders of Cavendish Moffat who has been developing properties and funding developments for the last ten years. Jonathan has also worked for many years in the banking sector both in UBS and ING and prior to that was in senior roles in buying and marketing within the retailing sector.
Jonathan focuses both on the business planning, procurement and interior design areas of a development. He is married to an American artist who manages the artwork creations within the projects.
Co-Managing Director – Piers Cavendish
Piers Cavendish has been renovating properties since 1979, whilst working as a photojournalist covering news stories across the globe. He set up his own building and decorating company in London, specialising in major refurbishments and extensions as well as more challenging projects, including the restoration of a large historic Grade 11 * listed townhouse in Devon. Piers brings his considerable experience of building and project management to the partnership, finding ways of enhancing potential and adding value to developments. An extensive network of business contacts and colleagues has helped source viable opportunities and enabled him to raise private equity.

A Chartered Accountant (PwC, London). 25 years UK & international experience across a variety of sectors including start-up & early stage businesses.

Cavendish Moffat Developments has been creating bespoke residences in London for over 10 years.

We have the experience and skills that allow us to offer both investors with opportunities and other developers with a wealth of expertise and co-development opportunities.
Our primary criteria for investment are:
a) We develop in conjunction with developers who have a proven track record of performance
b) On projects that will deliver a minimum 20% IRR on equity based on a GDV projection that is supported by credible comparables.
c) Historically focused on central London
d) Each project is set up in a separate Ltd company SPV onshore in the UK
- Determine the acquisition based on the location and the potential market.
- Conduct tests with planning consultants, architects and quantity surveyors.
- Process a financial appraisal and present the results to our investors and lenders.
- Complete final designs and submit planning applications.
- Finalise the project timeline and budget with our contractors.
- Marketing strategy and sales are executed by specific sales teams employed for each project.
